Uniting Community Hands:
Together, Small Steps Create Big Change
—
Founded in 2025, The Groove Foundation is dedicated to fostering a culture of accessible philanthropy within our community. We unite individuals, harnessing the power of collective action to fund and support local nonprofit initiatives. By encouraging every community member to contribute even in small ways, we facilitate meaningful change and promote sustainable development. Our mission is to empower every person to make a difference, ensuring that together, our small steps lead to significant, lasting impacts.
The seeds for The Groove Foundation were sown by Don and Jen Burgmeier, a dynamic husband and wife duo passionate about making a difference in their community. For years, Don and Jen contributed to various local charities, deeply involved in philanthropic endeavors that touched the lives of many around them. However, they soon realized the potential to amplify their impact through a more collective approach.
Inspired by their experiences, the Burgmeiers envisioned a platform where every community member could contribute, no matter how small the amount. They knew that together, the community could achieve much more than any individual could alone. This vision led to the creation of The Groove Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to harnessing the power of crowdfunding to support local nonprofit projects.
The foundation's unique approach to philanthropy leverages the strength of the community, fostering a culture of shared responsibility and mutual support. Jen, leveraging her role as the owner-operator of Groove Fitness Studio, also integrates wellness and community spirit, ensuring that the foundation’s initiatives not only fund projects but also build healthier, more connected environments.
Today, The Groove Foundation stands as a testament to the belief that when everyone does a little, together, we can do a lot. It's more than just a charity; it's a movement, encouraging everyone to take part in the change they wish to see in their community.
